2018 Sonata Good Design Award
2017/12/21
The Hyundai Sonata earned a 2017 Good Design® Award for its quality design, function and aesthetics from The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design and the European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies.
The Good Design Awards honour the yearly achievements of the best industrial and graphic designers, and world manufactures for their pursuit of extraordinary design excellence. Good Design is the oldest and the most prestigious architecture and design awards program organized worldwide, and strives to create a revived awareness about contemporary design. The awards honour both products and industry leaders in design and manufacturing that have chartered new directions and pushed the envelope for competitive products in the world marketplace. The Good Design Awards were judged in Chicago by an international jury of design professionals, architects, experts and cultural leaders.
Between elegant design, a streamlined user experience and the bold fresh face of the car, the 2018 Sonata highlights that there doesn’t need to be a compromise between aesthetic, performance, driver experience and safety. Achieving all of these is the hallmark of why the Sonata creates a better way of driving.
We think you’ll like this, too:

With the advances in tech, tauter styling and the return of that great turbocharged motor, the 2018 Sonata has the goods to get that sales trend going the other way.

The leather seating surfaces were excellent and hold your body in place firmly yet comfortably. The leather-wrapped, flat-bottom steering wheel was just as good, making for an all-around pleasant cockpit feel.

It’s very well-equipped for the price, and you won’t have to pay extra for niceties like an upgraded audio system or heated and cooled front seats.
